Looking for the perfect mix of history and mountain landscapes close to Bishkek? This tour offers just that—a journey through time and nature.

We’ll start with a visit to the ancient Burana Tower, a well-preserved 11th-century minaret in the historic city of Balasagun. You’ll have the chance to climb its original brick-and-wood staircase for a panoramic view of the Chüy Valley—an excellent photo opportunity! You’ll also explore the petroglyphs site and a small museum showcasing fascinating artifacts from the region’s nomadic past.

Next, we’ll head into nature with a short drive to the breathtaking Konorchek Canyons. Walk along a 2 km flat alpine trail through a striking natural reserve filled with stunning red rock formations—a photographer’s dream. These canyons are accessible year-round thanks to the area’s dry climate.

After the hike, we’ll stop for a relaxing lunch at a local café famous for its traditional Kyrgyz kattama—a tasty, flaky local bread.

Important Note: The hike to the canyon includes four minor rock ascents ranging from 1 to 3 meters. Please wear sturdy, non-slip shoes and comfortable, athletic clothing.
